FEARGHAL O’FARRELL qualified as an architect in 1957 B. Arch (hons.) U.C.D., but painted continuously in his spare time. He attended Dun Laoghaire School of Art & Design for several courses and was involved in many art exhibitions. He commenced Icon painting in 1991 and attended Guillem Ramos-Poquí’s Icon course in 1992 after which he became Chairman of the newly founded Association of Iconographers of Ireland. He has attended every year since. Fearghal has held three one-person exhibitions in Dublin and has icons in several churches and oratories.
